The Ras Al Khaimah Police General Command, in cooperation with its strategic partners, achieved outstanding success in securing the New Year’s Eve 2026 celebrations, following the implementation of a comprehensive security and traffic plan developed in accordance with the highest professional standards.

The plan included the deployment of more than 70 patrols and a wide distribution of specialized security and traffic personnel, which played a vital role in ensuring the smooth conduct of the celebrations, maintaining public safety, and facilitating traffic flow in and around the celebration areas. Despite the significant influx of visitors to the emirate on New Year’s Eve, no traffic accidents were recorded, achieving a zero-incident outcome.

His Excellency Major General Ali Abdullah bin Alwan Al Nuaimi, Commander-in-Chief of Ras Al Khaimah Police, affirmed that the General Command mobilized all its capabilities, expertise, and human resources to implement the approved security plan and serve the thousands of visitors who came to enjoy the fireworks displays and New Year’s celebrations.

His Excellency highlighted the pivotal role played by the Ras Al Khaimah Police Operations Room in receiving public calls and inquiries via the emergency number 999 and the non-emergency number 901, and efficiently forwarding them to the concerned authorities, who responded promptly and professionally. This reflected the high level of readiness and efficiency of the specialized teams in handling various situations.

The Commander-in-Chief expressed his sincere appreciation to all security personnel and field teams who were deployed from early morning on streets, roads, and main thoroughfares leading to the celebration areas, ensuring the safe and smooth arrival of the public. He also commended the public’s high level of awareness and adherence to the instructions issued by police and traffic officers, noting that this cooperation was a key factor in the success of the security plan.

His Excellency further emphasized the importance of close coordination with strategic partners, which proved highly effective in achieving the desired objectives and delivering high-quality police and security services to attendees.

Through its specialized events team, which follows strict quality standards aimed at enhancing the sustainability and safety of major events, the Ras Al Khaimah Police General Command ensured the implementation of an integrated security plan. This plan included the deployment of police patrols, Civil Defense teams, National Ambulance services, drones, rescue vehicles, and tourist patrols.

The public was guided to follow official instructions and designated routes to ensure safe entry to and exit from the event areas. This contributed to smooth traffic movement, prevented congestion, and demonstrated Ras Al Khaimah Police’s ability to manage major events with a high level of efficiency and professionalism, further reinforcing the emirate’s position as a leading destination for hosting large-scale events.
