The Ras Al Khaimah Police General Command signed a memorandum of understanding and partnership with the University of Sharjah to enhance knowledge exchange, support knowledge development, encourage creativity and innovation, and explore the future of artificial intelligence. The agreement was signed by Brigadier Tariq Mohammed bin Saif, Director General of Police Operations at the Ras Al Khaimah Police General Command, and Dr. Salah Taher Al Hajj, Vice Chancellor for Community Affairs at the University of Sharjah, in the presence of senior officers and staff from Ras Al Khaimah Police, as well as a number of forensic laboratory officers and experts, at the Ras Al Khaimah Police General Command headquarters. The memorandum aims to provide students with scientific training in the field of police forensics, offer joint academic programs, propose and publish scientific and police research, and exchange expertise and best practices in the fields of forensic laboratory work and the Ras Al Khaimah Police Forensic Medicine Unit, while achieving optimal strategic performance indicators. The Director General of Police Operations emphasized the importance of strengthening cooperation and coordination with entities of shared interest to integrate efforts, exchange expertise, and achieve optimal strategic performance indicators, in line with the directives of the Federal Government and the Ministry of Interior aimed at enhancing partnerships between various state institutions. For his part, the Vice Chancellor for Community Affairs at the University of Sharjah praised the vision of the memorandum, which seeks to prepare a new generation of graduates equipped with the knowledge, skills, and competencies necessary to contribute effectively to building a knowledge-based society, thereby helping to shape the nation’s future in accordance with the UAE Vision 2030 and to enhance the quality of life and security within the community.
