The Traffic and Patrols Department of Ras Al Khaimah Police, in cooperation with the Al-Jazirah Al-Hamra Comprehensive Police Station, arrested a 17-year-old young man, who was driving a car without a driver's license and ran over (3) Asians on the shoulder of an internal road in the emirate and then fled the scene to unknown destination, leaving behind one severely wounded, and two moderately injured.
Captain Abdul Rahman Ahmed Al-Shehhi, Director of the Investigation Branch at the Traffic and Patrols Department, that a report was received by the Ras Al Khaimah Police Operations Room, stating a hit and run accident on an internal road. Ambulance and rescue teams rushed to the accident scene and took the injured to Sheikh Khalifa Hospital. In the meantime, the investigation team searched for the perpetrator of the accident, until he was arrested. It was found that the perpetrator did not have a driving licence and consequently he was referred to Al Jazeera Al Hamra Comprehensive Police Station so that the necessary legal measures would be taken against him.
