Police work specializes in exercising authority that ensures the law governing public order in the community without which running things and details of life would be difficult. Police and its various bodies contribute in upholding the rule of law and the authority that has written texts to regulate the life in the community, and the police authorities ensure to apply the positive law for the community in addition to protecting the values of the society inherited from one generation to the next that includes customs,traditions,governance and public deeds and preference. In every society the police is always perceived as the instrument of the system to impose security and stability in the society and its key tool to implement law and to protect the individual and public rights, hence it is important that the police authorities have the necessary authority enabling it to enforce public order in the society and keep it away from chaos and not being delinquent to let the society head to a unlearned fate. Here, we must realize the importance that the power of authority must not lead to any form of arbitrariness albeit by outlook or a passing word that might apply in the minds of the public a negative image of the police and down all the features of a positive image! Dear Policemen, We must remind ourselves as we see the world around us that any security apparatus performance which is violent in dealing with the public or takes excessive action in the field to restrict freedom and individual rights thus will lead to end of guarantees and the oppression will prevail and this is just opposite to the goal of the security apparatus and is conducive to rampant crime in all its destructive forms. Dear Policemen, For those of us with direct and continuous contact with the public must possess effective communication skills that enable them to interact well with the general public. The skills should include the ability to speak at convincing and appropriate linguistic level. We must have good understanding and listening skills. We should welcome the opinions, suggestions and complaints of the public in a ample way, and respect every opinion and respond to it and act on its implementation as quick as possible in the required time, all this documents the relationship between the public and police and it pushes all to fruitful cooperation with police authorities in the performance of its tasks. And it makes the public collaborators to the police even in the exercise of authority, and the success is by the will of Allah.
