Ras Al Khaimah Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Management Team held a meeting chaired by H.E. Major General Ali Abdullah bin Alwan, Commander-in-Chief of Ras Al Khaimah Police and Head of the Team, to review developments in the current situation in light of the rapidly evolving events in the country and to examine the latest related updates. This comes as part of ongoing efforts to enhance levels of readiness and preparedness and to raise the level of alert to address various potential scenarios.
During the meeting, the team reviewed field monitoring reports, readiness indicators of the relevant entities, and the availability of human and technical resources. It also assessed the preparedness of operations rooms, communication systems, and joint coordination mechanisms, ensuring rapid response and efficient decision-making in a timely manner.
The attendees discussed the approved plans and mechanisms for their activation, business continuity plans, and scenarios for handling potential cases in line with best approved practices. They also reviewed the roles and responsibilities of the relevant entities and ways to enhance integration among them, thereby reinforcing a comprehensive institutional framework capable of managing risks and crises with efficiency and professionalism.
The team emphasized the importance of intensifying coordination among various entities, strengthening effective communication channels, and ensuring the timely exchange of information. It also stressed the need to continue implementing preventive and proactive measures and to raise community awareness of the guidelines and instructions issued by the relevant authorities.
