In line with the Ministry of Interior’s vision to position the United Arab Emirates among the world’s leading countries in achieving security and safety through efficient and effective performance, enhancing quality of life across Emirati society, and delivering proactive, smart, and innovative services to safeguard lives, dignity, and property, the General Command of Ras Al Khaimah Police, represented by the Community Protection and Prevention Department, organized the Community Coexistence Initiative Forum under the slogan “Together, Our Society Is Safe,” in cooperation with Ras Al Khaimah American Academy.

The forum was attended by 150 participants and held in the presence of Lieutenant Colonel Rashid Saeed Balhoon, Head of the Community Policing Section, along with a number of officers, personnel, and academy representatives, at Ras Al Khaimah Cultural and Creative Center affiliated with the Ministry of Culture and Knowledge Development.

Lieutenant Colonel Rashid Balhoon affirmed that the initiative seeks to strengthen a culture of coexistence and social harmony among diverse communities, build effective channels for dialogue between different cultures, and support efforts to raise awareness of local laws and related rights associated with social integration and coexistence. He further emphasized the importance of instilling religious and humanitarian values that promote love, tolerance, mutual respect, and constructive cooperation.

The forum included an awareness lecture delivered by Chief Warrant Officer Dr. Ahmed Mohammed Al Sahari Al Shehhi from the Community Awareness Branch. He addressed several key themes, most notably the concept of respect for the law and its practical application, examples of law-abiding behavior in daily life, and the role of communities in promoting legal awareness. An open discussion session was also held to respond to participants’ inquiries.

At the conclusion of the forum, a set of recommendations were issued emphasizing the reinforcement of tolerance and peaceful coexistence values, the optimal utilization of police services provided through official channels, and effective cooperation in protecting society and combating negative phenomena through shared social responsibility, in pursuit of happiness and quality of life for all.
