The security and strategic excellence of the Ras Al Khaimah Police General Command has been recognized with four prestigious awards at New Zealand's 2025 International Best Practices Competition, which witnessed intense competition among more than 100 submissions from government and private entities around the world. His Excellency Major General Ali Abdullah bin Alwan Al Nuaimi, Commander-in-Chief of Ras Al Khaimah Police, expressed his immense pride in this international accomplishment. He attributed the achievement to the dedication and professionalism of the police force, whose members continuously work to fulfill the aspirations of the Federal Government and the strategic vision of the Ministry of Interior, with the aim of strengthening the UAE’s global leadership and excellence. The announcement came during His Excellency’s ceremony honoring the teams and employees who contributed to the winning submissions, which included several innovative projects:
- K9 Security Inspection: introducing a groundbreaking method of using police dogs to detect digital evidence such as electronic chips;
- Correctional and Punitive Establishment Department: through the “Families Make a Difference” initiative, reflecting the Command’s concern for inmates’ well-being and its commitment to moral, psychological, and social rehabilitation;
- Strategy and Performance Development Department: recognized for its outstanding standards in customer service;
- Human Resources Department: honored for innovative approaches in managing professional talents within the Command.
His Excellency noted that Ras Al Khaimah Police’s achievement in the International Best Practices Awards represents a continuation of the Ministry of Interior’s efforts to reinforce security, safety, and quality of life in a secure society. This is achieved by delivering innovative police projects and services that reflect best practices and global standards in operational and administrative excellence — while learning from international experiences to continuously improve police work in the United Arab Emirates.
