The Ras Al Khaimah Women's Police Team commemorated World Children's Day with a vibrant and inclusive community event, the "World Children's Day Forum," held at the Ministry of Culture, Youth, and Community Development theater in Ras Al Khaimah. The event was organized in collaboration with the Aman Center for Sheltering Women and Children, the Civil Defense Department’s Women's Police Team, the Women’s Renaissance Association, and the Ministry of Culture and Youth.
Major Amal Hassan Al-Awbad, head of the Women's Police Team, opened the forum with a speech emphasizing the UAE's unwavering commitment to child welfare, equality, and preparing future generations. She highlighted the country's leading achievements in child protection, health, and safety, reflecting the priorities of the Ministry of Interior and Ras Al Khaimah Police to uphold the wise leadership’s vision for a secure and nurturing environment for children.
Over 60 children, including those of Women's Police members and other local communities, participated in the event, fostering integration and promoting a culture of non-discrimination. The program emphasized children's rights to health, education, play, and protection from violence while creating a joyful and inclusive atmosphere.
Event Highlights:
• Preventive Awareness Program: Organized by the Ras Al Khaimah Civil Defense Department, featuring competitions and gift distributions.
• Cultural Presentations: Students from Hessa Bint Saqr Private School showcased traditional folklore and cultural performances.
• Creative Workshop: A session led by writer Thanaa Al Naqbi included a novel reading and a workshop on character development in storytelling.
• Gift Distribution: Gifts were provided by the Women's Police Team, Aman Shelter Center, and Kafa Training Center.
