Under the leadership of RAK Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Management Team, the RAK Police GHQ has participated in the field exercise on the control of epidemic diseases outbreak 6/2017 in cooperation with the RAK Medical District. The exercise was carried out at Ibrahim Obaid Allah Hospital with the participation of (8) federal departments in the Emirate: RAK Police, RAK Medical District, Civil Defense, Electricity and Water, Emirates Transport, Red Crescent, RAK Municipality, Department of Public Services, and Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Center. According to the scenario that was implemented, a report was received at 9 am reporting a pandemic break out among a group of tourists. The teams immediately rushed to the site of a hotel in the emirate where the infected tourists were staying. The outbreak of the epidemic was confirmed among 25 tourists, (3) tourists were in a critical condition. The safety and prevention team evacuated the hotel and isolated the infected tourists, and they were transferred to Ibrahim Obaid Allah Hospital.
