Ras Al Khaimah Police Discusses More Than 15 Proposals from Senior Citizens in Customer Councils

As part of its efforts to enhance security-related quality of life, the General Command of Ras Al Khaimah Police, represented by Al Madinah Comprehensive Police Station, organized a Customer Council for senior citizens. The initiative aims to achieve the objectives of the Service Excellence Strategy by improving the level of services provided to them, allowing them to share their opinions and feedback, and discussing their suggestions for enhancing police services provided to ensure their happiness. The session was led by Major Hassan Abdullah Al Awadhi, Acting Head of Al Madinah Comprehensive Police Station in Ras Al Khaimah, in the presence of a number of partners, senior officers and staff of the station, as well as senior citizens and community members. At the beginning of the session, he reviewed the services provided by the station, including the newly introduced police service packages aimed at enhancing the satisfaction of senior citizens, such as the “Criminal Report Filing” and “Inquiries” service packages, which are the most requested and utilized by the public.

During the session, the key security and social issues that senior citizens may face were discussed, including how to protect them from risks such as the cyber intrusion of their personal data, accounts, and bank balances. The session also reviewed the station’s vision for activating a “chatbot” system via phone or WhatsApp, which facilitates direct, fast, and effective communication with senior citizens. This allows them to request services such as report filing and inquiries from the comfort of their homes through smart applications and programs, thereby saving time and effort while ensuring prompt response by leveraging advanced technological solutions and innovations. More than 15 suggestions and ideas were proposed and will be thoroughly studied. Major Hassan Al Awadhi emphasized that senior citizens represent one of the most important categories of customers at the station. Therefore, direct communication with them should be strengthened to gather their feedback and suggestions regarding police services, exchange views on the services provided, and develop them to meet their needs and aspirations, ensuring the improvement of service quality in alignment with the vision of the General Command.
