As partof the 2026 initiatives, designated as the “Year of Family,” the Punitive and Correctional Establishment of Ras Al Khaimah Police organized a family forum under the slogan “Family Cohesion,” in the presence of Lieutenant Colonel Hamad Khalid Al Matar, Acting Director of the Punitive and Correctional Establishment, and Major Amal Hassan Al Obad, Head of the Rehabilitation and Training Branch and Chairperson of the Women Police Team, along with the establishment’s inmates, at its premises. This initiative reflects Ras Al Khaimah Police’s commitment to strengthening the values of national identity, instilling positive citizenship behaviors, and promoting concepts of security awareness among inmates and the society, thereby contributing to the protection of lives and the sustainability of security quality of life.
The objectives of the “Family Cohesion” forum program varied to include reuniting inmates with their families by hosting their relatives and meeting them individually to ensure privacy and psychological comfort. This, in turn, positively reflects on inmates’ behavior within the wards and contributes to strengthening family stability and cohesion, as a fundamental pillar of a strong society and a prosperous future.
The organization of the family forum reflects the commitment of the General Command of Ras Al Khaimah Police to strengthening family bonds and promoting family reintegration, while adopting a reform-oriented approach that supports inmates’ psychological and social stability. It provides an environment that embodies the values of tolerance and family connection, enhances a sense of belonging, and contributes to improving quality of life within the Punitive and Correctional Establishment, while offering a supportive setting for rehabilitation that reinforces social cohesion.
