Ras Al Khaimah Police Air Wing Rescues 8 Individuals Stranded in Mountainous Terrain

In line with its societal, professional, and humanitarian duties, and as part of its commitment to improving the quality of life for all residents of the emirate, the Air Wing Section of Ras Al Khaimah Police conducted a successful rescue operation for eight foreigners stranded in a rugged mountainous area at an altitude of 3,500 feet.

Lieutenant Colonel Abdullah Ali Al Shehhi, Acting Head of the Air Wing Section, detailed the incident, which began with a report received by the Operations Room regarding the stranded individuals. Upon receiving the report, one of the section's helicopters was swiftly deployed to the specified location, where the stranded individuals were rescued and evacuated with the assistance of relevant authorities.

Lieutenant Colonel Al Shehhi confirmed the section's readiness to handle such situations in accordance with the highest standards and urged members of society, including citizens, residents, and visitors, to exercise caution when venturing into mountainous areas. He emphasized the importance of avoiding rugged terrain and valley areas that may pose risks to safety, while also adhering to preventive measures to mitigate any potential dangers.
