Major Abdel Nasser Al Shirawi, Head of the Anti-Narcotics Operations Section in the Ras Al Khaimah Police, stressed, during his appearance in the seventh episode of Al Ain Al Sahera Program organized by the Media and Public Relations Department of Ras Al Khaimah Police in cooperation with the Government Media Office, the importance of families and parents cooperation with the competent police authorities to preserve the safety of their children and protect them from falling into drug addiction or trafficking.

Major Al Shirawi stated that 60% of the families who voluntarily requested to treat their children from addiction preferred to go for direct treatment at the competent health institutions, while the other 40% were provided with treatment under the supervision of the Drug Control Department, explaining that the Anti-Narcotics Department, in cooperation with competent authorities, closed during the past year 25 websites used to promote drugs.
