In line with the Ministry of Interior’s vision to make the UAE one of the safest countries in the world through effective and efficient efforts that enhance quality of life and provide proactive, smart, and innovative services to protect lives, honor, and property, the Ras Al Khaimah Police General Command, represented by the Community Protection and Prevention Department, organized a community coexistence initiative forum under the slogan “Together for a Safe Society.”
The forum was held at St. Mary’s Private Secondary School and attended by 120 students and staff members, in the presence of Major Mohammed Ali Al Tabour, Manager of the Community Patrols Branch, Major Khalid Saleh Al Shaer, Manager of the Partnerships and Community Engagement Branch, along with a number of school officials and representatives.
Lieutenant Colonel Rashid Balhoun, Head of the Community Policing Section, stated that the initiative aims to promote a culture of coexistence and social peace among different communities, build effective channels of dialogue between cultures, raise awareness of local laws and rights related to social integration, and instill religious and humanitarian values that encourage love, tolerance, respect for others, and constructive cooperation.
The forum included an awareness lecture delivered by Senior Warrant Officer Dr. Ahmed Mohammed Al Sahari from the Community Awareness Branch. He addressed several key topics, including the concept of respecting the law and its application, practical examples of law-abiding behavior in daily life, and the role of communities in spreading legal awareness.
The event concluded with an open discussion session, allowing participants to ask questions and seek clarification. Recommendations emphasized strengthening the values of tolerance and peaceful coexistence, the importance of positively utilizing police services through official channels, and encouraging effective cooperation to protect society, combat negative phenomena, and contribute to achieving happiness and a high quality of life for all.
