Ras Al Khaimah Police Finalizes Security Preparations for New Year’s Celebrations

The Permanent Events and Celebrations Team at Ras Al Khaimah Police has inspected the final preparations and security measures for the New Year’s celebrations in the emirate, which are set to begin in the coming hours.

The inspection was attended by His Excellency Brigadier Dr. Yousef Salem bin Yaqoub, Acting Director General of Central Operations, along with team members and representatives of various committees. The team conducted a comprehensive field tour of the celebration sites and the mobile operations room, reviewing all security arrangements and operational equipment.

The approved measures include monitoring the celebration sites, deploying traffic patrols, facilitating smooth traffic flow on all roads leading to the celebration areas, establishing security checkpoints, and ensuring the readiness of field hospitals. The team also verified the preparedness of strategic partners and the Civil Defense.

In addition, the team reviewed the advanced technological systems deployed at the event sites, which are fully connected to the mobile operations room. These systems enable effective control and monitoring of vehicles at all entrances and exits. The team further confirmed the activation of the facial recognition system for all visitors to the celebration areas, utilizing artificial intelligence and advanced surveillance cameras equipped with the latest technologies, distributed across all main entrances and exits.

Four main locations in the emirate have been designated for the New Year’s celebrations: Al Marjan Island, Ras Al Khaimah Creek behind Etisalat, Al Qawasim Corniche opposite Julphar Towers, and the area surrounding the Rixos Hotel in Meera.

To facilitate visitor movement on Al Marjan Island, four designated parking areas have been allocated: Jais Parking, Yans Parking, Dhayah Parking, and Exit 122 Parking, with transportation services provided to convey visitors to the viewing areas.

Ras Al Khaimah Police confirmed that all roads are monitored through city security cameras and emphasized that parking on the sides of main roads is strictly prohibited. The public is urged to use parking areas correctly, adhere to designated locations, follow the instructions issued by security authorities, and stay updated through the official Ras Al Khaimah Police accounts.

For emergencies, the public can contact the Central Operations Room via 999, and for non-emergency cases and general inquiries, via 901.

Ras Al Khaimah Police also urged the public to refrain from uncivilized behaviors such as using celebration sprays, driving recklessly, and causing noise, and to strictly comply with traffic laws and the instructions of security and regulatory authorities supervising the event. Ras Al Khaimah Police extends its best wishes to everyone for a happy and safe New Year’s celebration, filled with security and peace.
