In line with the Ministry of Interior's strategy to ensure security and safety, the Ras Al Khaimah Police General Command, through its Community Protection and Prevention Department, organized a forum focused on fostering a culture of respect for the law and its vital role in protecting society from crime. The forum, part of the 'Together Towards a Safe Society' initiative, was led by Captain Issa Mohammed Al Kaabi from the Ministry of Interior's Office of the Culture of Respect for the Law. It included participation from students, staff, and parents from the Indian School.
The event was attended by several key figures, including Colonel Dr. Nasser Mohammed Al Bakr, Director of the Community Protection and Prevention Department, Colonel Abdullah Abdul Rahman Al Zaabi, Deputy Director, and a number of officers and personnel. Colonel Dr. Nasser Al Bakr highlighted that the awareness program for school students reflects the Ministry of Interior’s dedication to youth, particularly students, by raising their awareness of legal, national, and social responsibilities. The initiative aims to foster positive engagement across different segments of society, thereby enhancing community security and safety.
He explained that the program is part of the Community Awareness Branch’s broader awareness plan, aiming to boost legal consciousness and national identity among school students—a crucial demographic that will soon be pivotal in serving their country and community. The program targets all students, regardless of age or academic level, and includes a variety of activities such as awareness lectures, workshops, competitions, and discussion sessions. Some sessions are specifically designed for parents, recognizing their significant role in shaping student behavior, while teaching staff are involved as key influencers in the educational process.
Through these efforts, Ras Al Khaimah Police aims to build a stronger foundation of respect for the law, contributing to a safer and more secure society.
