The Ras Al Khaimah Police's Punitive and Correctional Establishment Department has carried out 213 activities and other initiatives over the past year for the benefit of 9,521 prisoners in an effort to rehabilitate, train, and equip them with the knowledge and skills necessary to engage positively and integrate into society after serving their sentences. According to Lieutenant Colonel Ali Saeed Embassy, Acting Director of Ras Al Khaimah's Punitive and Correctional Establishment, the Department organized 213 different activities for male and female inmates over the course of the previous year. These activities included social care programs, training and rehabilitation programs, and vocational rehabilitation programs. These initiatives included the implementation of numerous measures that carried the human character of inmates and their families.
