H.E. Brigadier Jamal Ahmed Al Tair, Acting Commander-in-Chief of Ras Al Khaimah Police, attended the ceremony for awarding the National Standard for Business Continuity (NCEMA 7000) certificates and honoring a select group of leading institutions that duly earned the National Standard certification from the National Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Management Authority.
H.E. Brigadier Jamal Al Tair, accompanied by Mr. Falah Al Harsh, Director of the Emergency and Crisis Office in Ras Al Khaimah, and in the presence of Directors General, department directors, and a number of officers, honored the General Command of Ras Al Khaimah Police, Ras Al Khaimah Civil Defence, Ras Al Khaimah Human Resources Department, and Ras Al Khaimah Public Services Department during the ceremony held at the Martyr Tariq Building Hall, following their successful completion of all evaluation stages and verification of full compliance with all applicable standards.
In his welcoming speech, H.E. Brigadier Jamal Al Tair said: “We are pleased to gather today on an occasion where we are not merely celebrating a fleeting achievement, but rather commending a conscious institutional path that prioritized readiness and planning before facing unexpected challenges.”
The Acting Commander-in-Chief of Ras Al Khaimah Police noted in his speech that the four government entities’ attainment of compliance certification for the National Business Continuity Management Standard confirms that preparedness is no longer merely an administrative option, but has become a deeply rooted culture and a consistent operational approach within our government institutions.
He emphasized that this standard is not measured solely by documentation, but by an institution’s ability to sustain operations and safeguard vital services under the most challenging circumstances, and to make sound decisions when options are limited and time is constrained, reflecting a high level of institutional maturity and strategic awareness.
Brigadier Jamal Al Tair added that these entities have demonstrated, through their commitment and the integration of their roles, that effective government performance is not built solely in times of prosperity, but is tested and proven in confronting natural and man-made crises. He noted that it is during such times that the value of planning, procedural precision, and system cohesion becomes evident, pointing out that this achievement is the result of the wise vision of our leadership, which has established readiness and preparedness as fundamental pillars of the government work system and has reinforced the concept of institutional resilience as a key element of national strength.
In conclusion of his speech, Brigadier Al Tair congratulated the deserving entities on this achievement, expressing his hope that it would serve as a new milestone toward greater integration and development, in service of the nation and society.
On this occasion, Mr. Falah Al Harsh, Director of the Emergency and Crisis Office in Ras Al Khaimah, said: “We are honored today to celebrate a distinguished national achievement, represented by several government entities in Ras Al Khaimah obtaining the National Standard for Business Continuity Management compliance certificate. This standard is one of the key pillars for strengthening institutional preparedness, ensuring the continuity of vital services, and promoting a culture of resilience and the ability to confront challenges. This achievement clearly reflects the vision of our wise leadership, which has established preparedness and readiness as a core approach within the government work system, and demonstrates the high level of awareness and responsibility of these entities.”
Al Harsh stated that the four entities’ attainment of the compliance certification does not merely represent official recognition, but rather affirms institutional maturity that reflects the depth of planning, precision of implementation, and the spirit of teamwork that characterizes the government work system in the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah.
