Ras Al Khaimah Police concluded a specialized training course on the use of the K9 training suit “Decoy”. The course was held over the span of a full week at the Security Inspection Department K9 and was supervised by a Dutch international expert invited by the Ministry of Interior, with participants from several police commands nationwide. The graduation ceremony of the course, which included both theoretical and practical components and concluded with the honoring of participants, was attended by Brigadier Mohammed Al Habsi, Director of the Federal Security Inspection Department K9, who praised the participants for their full commitment and effective engagement with the course topics.

Major Ibrahim Ahmed Al Shmaili, Head of the Security Inspection Section K9 at Ras Al Khaimah Police, stated that organizing this course reflects the Ministry of Interior’s commitment to developing and qualifying its personnel working in the field of security inspection, particularly trainers responsible for riot control and raid dogs. This ensures readiness and preparedness in responding to incidents, while also enhancing the capabilities of police dogs assigned to riot control, enabling them to perform their duties effectively in line with the Ministry’s efforts to promote quality of life and strengthen the bond of trust between the dogs and their trainers.

He further added that the course included a practical component that involved applying all methods in realistic scenarios, demonstrating the trainers’ ability to handle police dogs, strengthen communication with them, and build trust through eye contact, control, work motivation, and teamwork, among other practical exercises. These activities were designed to reinforce and translate theoretical knowledge into practice, thereby advancing operational performance in the field of police security inspection. He praised the organizers of the course for their dedication in delivering the required information and practical requirements smoothly to the participants, who, in turn, demonstrated remarkable commitment throughout the duration of the course.
