The Ras Al Khaimah Police General Command, represented by the Traffic and Patrols Department, participated in the School Career Week program organized by Al Dhait Primary School (Cycle 1). The initiative aimed to introduce students to various professions and raise awareness of the vital role played by police and traffic officers in enhancing security, safety, and the smooth movement of traffic within the community.

On this occasion, Captain Mohammed Rashid bin Turki Al Shehhi, Director of the Traffic Awareness and Media Branch, accompanied by officers from the Traffic and Patrols Department, delivered an educational lecture entitled “The Duties of a Traffic Officer.” The lecture provided students with an overview of the responsibilities of police personnel in general and traffic officers in particular, highlighting their role in maintaining road safety, regulating traffic flow, and providing assistance and support to motorists and road users.

The session emphasized the contribution of traffic officers to ensuring safe and efficient transportation, supporting public safety, and enhancing quality of life in line with the strategic objectives of the Ministry of Interior.

As part of the program, students were given an interactive and exploratory experience through a practical demonstration of traffic patrol vehicles. Officers introduced the students to the vehicles’ equipment and key operational features, while explaining the duties of patrol officers and their important role in serving the community.

The initiative sought to foster professional awareness among students, encourage appreciation and respect for various professions, and broaden their understanding of the responsibilities and significance of police and traffic work. Through this experience, students gained valuable insights into the role of traffic officers and patrol personnel in promoting security, safety, and community well-being.
