Brigadier Ahmed Saeed Al Naqbi, Director of Traffic and Patrols Department at Ras Al Khaimah Police, said that incorrect parking is one of the most serious issues that traffic police face, as it creates traffic confusion and congestion on the roadways. This practice is still prevalent on most of the emirate's highways, according to Ras Al Khaimah Police records, which show that the Traffic and Patrols Department issued a total of 4,190 incorrect parking penalties from January 2021 to February 2022.
The Ras Al Khaimah Police Director of Traffic and Patrols added that wrong parking of vehicles is a traffic problem, warning that the penalty according to Article 64 of the Traffic Law, is a fine of 500 dirhams, specifying six types of wrong parking for vehicles represented in parking in the nozzles of fire, and behind vehicles, at crossroads, during traffic accidents, and in parking lots of people of determination, and at road bends.
