Lieutenant-Colonel Dr. Muhammad Abdullah Al-Bahar, Acting Director of the Traffic and Patrols Department at Ras Al Khaimah Police, urged drivers and passengers to use seat belts in order to save lives and to reinforce efforts to disseminate and preserve traffic safety.

Where Lieutenant-Colonel Dr. Muhammad Al-Bahar stated that the number of (violations for failing to wear a seatbelt while driving) during 2021 amounted to a total of 1,033 traffic violations, pointing out that the fine for the driver and passengers is 400 dirhams and 4 traffic points, according to the text of Article 51 in the executive regulations amending Federal Traffic and Traffic Law No. 178.
