Colonel Dr. Nasser Muhammad Al Bakr, the Director of the Police Training Center in Ras Al-Khaimah, unveiled the center's remarkable achievements during the past three years. In an interview on the twenty-fifth episode of the Al-Ain Al-Sahira radio program, organized by the Media and Public Relations Department of Ras Al-Khaimah Police in collaboration with the Media Office of the Government of Ras Al-Khaimah and the Broadcasting Corporation, Colonel Dr. Al-Bakr disclosed that the center conducted 116 diverse courses, benefiting a total of 7768 participants.
Colonel Dr. Al Bakr explained that the core mission of the center revolves around preparing and equipping security personnel through specialized security and police courses. These courses aim to broaden their knowledge, enhance their skills, and elevate their competencies, enabling them to carry out their duties with efficiency and effectiveness. He further stated that the center develops an annual training plan, collaborates with the Professional Development Center to design the program, and ensures the provision of certified training skills to cadres and professionals. Additionally, the center oversees the creation of training materials, study materials, and the production of periodic and special reports.
The selection of course topics and titles at the Training Center is based on a self-learning plan, the requirements of new appointments, and the demands of modern systems. Colonel Dr. Al Bakr emphasized that the center remains committed to embracing modern technologies and advancements in training methodologies. To this end, the center has adopted smart training methods that utilize information and communication technologies, multimedia, and virtual simulations. These techniques create an interactive environment, allowing users to engage directly with three-dimensional models and figures.
Colonel Dr. Al Bakr highlighted that the organized training courses play a vital role in meeting strategic and police aspirations. They contribute to the future vision of the Emirate's police force by supporting decision-makers, providing consultations, conducting scientific studies, and addressing specific challenges. The center also seeks to capitalize on the human element through extensive research and development efforts to enhance knowledge and police skills in order to tackle current and future changes and challenges. Colonel Dr. Al Bakr acknowledged that the rapid advancement of information, the evolving landscape of criminal activities, the requirements of artificial intelligence and the Internet of Things, as well as the scarcity of instructors in some technical disciplines, pose significant challenges.
His Excellency further emphasized the strong and continuous cooperation between the Ras Al Khaimah Police Training Center and similar centers across the country. This collaboration encompasses the exchange of experiences, knowledge sharing, field visits, and the utilization of lecturers from institutions such as the Police College in Abu Dhabi, the Federal Police School in Sharjah, and various training centers within police commands, local universities, and higher colleges of technology. Colonel Dr. Al Bakr revealed that the center's future aspirations include establishing a center for future leaders and implementing a project for studies, research, and future foresight.
