The Operations Room of Ras Al Khaimah Police received 20,939 calls during the adverse weather conditions that affected the country, specifically from 20 to 28 March.
H.E. Brigadier Ahmed Saeed Al Mansoori, Director General of Central Operations at Ras Al Khaimah Police, stated that the General Command of Ras Al Khaimah Police handled all incoming calls during the adverse weather conditions, which brought heavy rainfall leading to valley flows and flooding in several areas of the Emirate, while ensuring the safety of the public and their property and maintaining smooth traffic flow across Ras Al Khaimah’s roads.
His Excellency pointed out that the specialized teams in the Operations Room handled all incoming calls and inquiries by promptly directing them to the relevant entities according to their jurisdictions for immediate action, while maintaining continuous follow-up until completion. He noted that calls were answered within no more than 10 seconds, emphasizing that human safety remains the highest priority in line with professional and humanitarian responsibilities. He further highlighted the importance of coordination and joint cooperation with strategic partners and all concerned entities during the adverse weather conditions, which significantly contributed to minimizing its impacts and restoring traffic flow to normal.
He commended the strong public awareness demonstrated through adherence to the directives issued by Ras Al Khaimah Police and the Emergency, Crisis, and Disaster Management Team, which significantly contributed to limiting the impact of the recent adverse weather conditions and reducing losses and damages to a minimum. He also expressed his sincere appreciation to all relevant entities in the Emirate for their remarkable cooperation and tireless, round-the-clock efforts during the adverse weather conditions.
Ras Al Khaimah Police urged the public to call 999 to report emergencies and 901 for inquiries and non-emergency situations, ensuring that the relevant authorities can respond effectively and provide appropriate assistance.
