His Excellency Brigadier Jamal Ahmed Al Tair, Acting Commander-in-Chief of Ras Al Khaimah Police, inspected the Mohammed bin Salem Road redevelopment project, covering the section from the (Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed) Emirates Roundabout to Al Hamra Roundabout, as well as the alternative route constructed from the Acacia Hotel Roundabout to the Al Bait Mutawahid exit. The inspection was attended by His Excellency Brigadier Ahmed Al Sam Al Naqbi, Director General of Central Operations, along with Deputy Directors General and Department Directors. This tour reflects the Acting Commander-in-Chief’s commitment to monitoring traffic flow in the Mohammed bin Salem Road redevelopment project area and directing the concerned police and traffic authorities to take all necessary measures to achieve smooth movement on the alternative route. His Excellency emphasized that ensuring the safety and comfort of road users is a top priority for the Ras Al Khaimah Police General Command, which remains dedicated to providing all necessary requirements to achieve this goal. He instructed police officers and patrols to make full use of available resources to overcome any obstacles affecting traffic on the alternative road and to strengthen cooperation and coordination with the Public Services Department and the companies carrying out the project. This, he noted, would contribute to achieving the desired objectives, maintaining traffic flow, and safeguarding road users. Brigadier General Al Tayer further explained that the alternative road includes several secondary roads implemented by the Public Services Department to guarantee smooth access to facilities impacted by the Mohammed bin Salem Street redevelopment works. During the inspection, His Excellency was briefed by Colonel Dr. Salem Rashid Al Masafri, Head of Al Jazirah Al Hamra Comprehensive Police Station, on the results of traffic monitoring along the alternative road over the past weekend. The report showed a smooth flow of traffic, supported by the deployment of police patrols at road entrances and exits, as well as the field measures and adjustments implemented by the Ras Al Khaimah Public Services Department and the companies responsible for the project.
