The smart systems in Ras Al Khaimah controlled a combined total of 7,772 expired vehicles within three months of the actual application and activation of the technical systems on all roads in the emirate on November 7th, using advanced cameras for traffic control, working to enhance and control traffic safety and maintain the safety of road users in accordance with worldwide best standards in road safety and security.

Ras Al Khaimah Police noted that the fine for driving an expired vehicle is 500 dirhams, with the vehicle being impounded for a whole week, and four traffic points added.
