The Ras Al Khaimah Police General Command, represented by the Traffic and Patrols Department, has warned of the dangers of harassing drivers on the overtaking lane and sticking to them, which causes drivers to become confused in a dangerous way that negatively affects road safety, due to the stubbornness of some drivers at times, which leads to severe traffic accidents as a result of not estimating the correct distance, and not leaving a sufficient safety distance.

His Excellency Brigadier General Dr. Al-Hamidi pointed out that the penalty for not leaving a sufficient safety distance is a fine of (400) dirhams and (4) traffic points, according to the Article (52) of the executive regulations amending the Federal Traffic and Traffic Law.
