His Excellency Sheikh Zayed bin Hamad Al Nahyan Reviews Ras Al Khaimah Police's Efforts in Combating Crime and Narcotics

His Excellency Sheikh Zayed bin Hamad bin Hamdan Al Nahyan, Chairman of the National Anti-Narcotics Agency, visited the General Command of Ras Al Khaimah Police, where he was received by His Excellency Major General Ali Abdullah bin Alwan Al Nuaimi, Commander-in-Chief of Ras Al Khaimah Police, and His Excellency Brigadier Jamal Ahmed Al Tair, Deputy Commander-in-Chief, in the presence of Directors General, their deputies, and a number of senior police officers.

The visit commenced with an inspection of the Command's specialized fleet of operational vehicles and advanced equipment, where His Excellency was briefed on their capabilities and the roles they play in crime prevention, law enforcement, road safety, and providing rapid assistance to the community. He also reviewed the Command's drone system and its operational platforms, deployed across comprehensive police stations to enhance emergency response capabilities.

During the visit, a presentation highlighted Ras Al Khaimah Police's achievements across its security and traffic sectors, showcasing key public services, operational accomplishments, and innovative policing initiatives. The presentation also focused on the Command's comprehensive strategy for combating narcotics and psychotropic substances, outlining major enforcement operations conducted by the Anti-Narcotics Department, preventive awareness initiatives, and rehabilitation and aftercare programs designed to support recovering addicts and facilitate their successful reintegration into society. Performance indicators and strategic initiatives aimed at strengthening community awareness, promoting prevention, and protecting society from the dangers of drug abuse were also reviewed.

His Excellency then toured the Command and Control Centre at the Directorate General of Police Operations, where he was briefed on its advanced operational capabilities, security monitoring systems, emergency response mechanisms, and the artificial intelligence-driven technologies used to support data analysis and enhance the efficiency of round-the-clock police operations.

At the conclusion of the visit, His Excellency Sheikh Zayed bin Hamad Al Nahyan affirmed that the UAE continues to strengthen and advance its national anti-narcotics framework through a comprehensive strategy focused on safeguarding society, preserving national security and stability, and enhancing the quality of life. He emphasized that the country's integrated approach combines prevention, enforcement, rehabilitation, and community partnership to effectively combat narcotics and mitigate their harmful impact.

His Excellency praised the significant progress achieved by the General Command of Ras Al Khaimah Police across various security sectors, commending its adoption of international best practices, innovation, and advanced technologies that contribute to strengthening community security and supporting the vision of the UAE's wise leadership in delivering world-class, sustainable policing services.

For his part, His Excellency Major General Ali Abdullah bin Alwan Al Nuaimi affirmed that the UAE's wise leadership places great importance on continuously strengthening the national security system by providing law enforcement agencies with the latest technologies and artificial intelligence solutions to combat crime and respond effectively to evolving criminal methods.

He further stressed that combating narcotics is a shared national responsibility requiring the collective efforts of government entities, community institutions, and individuals. Strengthening cooperation and coordination at both the national and international levels remains essential to protecting society from the threat of drugs. He noted that the visit of His Excellency Sheikh Zayed bin Hamad Al Nahyan reflects the leadership's firm belief that safeguarding society is a collective responsibility shared by all.
