The Traffic Awareness and Media Branch of the Traffic and Patrols Department at Ras Al Khaimah Police organized two days of awareness lectures for Emirates Transport bus drivers and supervisors ahead of the new school year. These lectures formed part of the Ministry of Interior’s campaign under the slogan “A Safe School Year.” The sessions were delivered by Captain Mohammed Rashid Al Shehhi, Branch Director. Held at the Zayed Educational Complex, the lectures introduced school bus drivers and supervisors to traffic laws and regulations designed to achieve the highest levels of student safety. They also covered procedures to follow during emergencies, best practices when students board and exit buses, and ensuring children’s safe return to their families. Additionally, drivers and supervisors were reminded of the importance of thoroughly checking buses at the end of each trip to ensure no student is left behind. Captain Al Shehhi stressed the importance of close cooperation between drivers and supervisors in safeguarding students and protecting them from accident risks that may pose danger to their safety. He also highlighted the Ras Al Khaimah Police General Command’s commitment to spreading traffic awareness across all segments of society, in line with the Ministry of Interior’s vision of making roads safer.
