The Traffic and Patrols Department of the Directorate General of Central Operations in Ras Al Khaimah Police confirmed that slow driving is an infringement on the rights of others, as it causes drivers of vehicles coming from behind to overtake in the wrong direction, believing that Slow driving or driving at rates lower than the speed limit on the road ensures a safe and tranquil ride for them and others on various roads, but the opposite is true, and it frequently causes terrible and unfortunate incidents.

The Acting Director of the Traffic and Patrols Department of Ras Al Khaimah Police stated that Article (84) of the Federal Traffic and Traffic Law states that failing to give way to vehicles arriving from behind or on the left side would result in a traffic infraction and a fine of (400) dirhams, indicating that this behavior may be considered by some as simple, but it is an outright violation and its consequences may be dire for traffic and traffic safety, because it obstructs traffic and creates a state of confusion on the road.
