Ras Al Khaimah Police Launches "Towards a Safe Future" Plan to Enhance Services and Support Bureaucracy Reduction

His Excellency Major General Ali Abdullah bin Aloun Al Nuaimi, Commander-in-Chief of Ras Al Khaimah Police, emphasized the significance of engaging various customer groups with the police to address key areas essential for achieving the leadership's 2023-2026 vision and strategic goals. This initiative aligns with broader government directives, particularly the "Zeroing Government Bureaucracy" program, which aims to enhance the effectiveness of government procedures, reinforce the UAE’s leadership in global competitiveness, and ensure streamlined, efficient governance. To support these objectives, Ras Al Khaimah Police has launched an integrated plan to engage the largest customer segment and the local community.

Lieutenant Colonel Dr. Yousef Abdullah Al Tunaiji, Head of the Team for Implementing the Global Star System Standards and Service Classification Requirements for all Command-Level Service Centers, highlighted that Ras Al Khaimah Police launched the "Towards a Safe Future" initiative following the outcomes of the Bureaucracy Zero Accelerators Council. This council, held under the theme “Transformation towards Easier, Faster, and More Efficient Police Services,” was organized at Al Hamra Mall last September.

In response to recommendations from participating school and university students, the initiative introduced specialized awareness workshops aimed at reducing bureaucracy in police services and increasing awareness of electronic and cyber security. These workshops align with the UAE government’s commitment to delivering innovative future services. The "Towards a Safe Future" plan targeted seven schools, covering both second and third cycle students, boys and girls, over the past three weeks.

Lieutenant Colonel Dr. Yousef Abdullah Al Tunaiji further elaborated that, based on the proposals received, an integrated plan titled "Towards a Safe Future" was developed and implemented. The plan focuses on specialized themes aimed at enhancing students' awareness of cybersecurity and police services in general. This initiative contributes to the continuous improvement of services in line with the strategy of excellence, fostering a generation well-versed in security and safety in the face of rapid digital advancements.

By engaging students in the design and development of services and procedures, the initiative boosts the likelihood of success and aligns with the aspirations of the community, resulting in broader societal progress. Workshops were conducted at several schools, including Al Dhait Schools, Al Jazirah Al Hamra, Zainab, Ras Al Khaimah, Emirates National Schools, Al Choueifat International School, and Applied Technology High School. The workshops saw participation from 875 students and 108 administrators and teachers, underscoring the initiative’s wide-reaching impact.

Lieutenant Colonel Dr. emphasized that this initiative aligns with the leadership's ongoing efforts to create a safer and more secure future while enhancing the quality of police services in accordance with the UAE's vision of improving the quality of life for all citizens. As a result of the initiative, a total of 29 ideas, proposals, and opinions were gathered, which will be of interest to all relevant stakeholders. These suggestions will be carefully reviewed and studied to assess their feasibility and potential impact on the quality of life.

Furthermore, the initiative facilitated responses to numerous inquiries, reflecting the leadership's commitment to fostering dialogue with the community and engaging with all concerned groups.
