To ensure the safety of locals and communities The Ras Al Khaimah Police and Public Services Department collaborate on the issue of abandoned wells

A delegation from the General Command of Ras Al Khaimah Police, the Department of Community Police, headed by Major Jassim Mohammed Borouga, Director of Partnerships and Community Communication Branch, accompanied by First Lieutenant Ahmed Hamdan Al Shehhi, visited the Public Services Department, to review and discuss the phenomenon of dangerous abandoned and exposed wells to save passersby from falling into them. They were received by Engineer Ahmed Mohammed Al Hammadi, Director General of the Public Services Department.

Engineer Ahmed Al Hammadi revealed that the department is in the midst of establishing an initiative under the motto "Dealing with abandoned wells" next few days, with a working team created to follow up on and monitor all of these wells at the emirate level, which pose a threat to public safety. He added that the abandoned ones will be filled in, while active wells containing will be fenced, stressing that the department receives all complaints and inquiries from the public on its smart application "mRAK" or direct communication with the Customer Happiness Center after sending the necessary reports and photos.
