Commander-in-Chief of Ras Al Khaimah Police Launches Smart Testing System for Heavy Vehicle Drivers

His Excellency Major General Ali Abdullah bin Alwan Al Nuaimi, Commander-in-Chief of Ras Al Khaimah Police, inaugurated the smart testing system for heavy vehicles to examine drivers. This initiative is a collaboration between the Traffic and Licensing Services Center, the Electronic Services and Telecommunications Department, and the General Resources Authority. The launch event, held at the Traffic and Licensing Services Center of Ras Al Khaimah Police, was attended by His Excellency Brigadier Dr. Muhammad Abdul Rahman Al-Ahmad, Director of the Electronic Services Department, His Excellency Colonel Saqr bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Director of the Vehicles and Drivers Licensing Department, along with several senior officers and police employees.

The smart testing system for heavy vehicles enhances the process of examining drivers by allowing customers to request the service via the Ministry of Interior’s MOI application. The system enables examiners to submit their examinations directly and evaluate their performance through the smart system. The examination results are made available to internal systems, and if the examiner does not pass, the reasons for not passing are communicated transparently. This reduces effort and errors for the customer, increases satisfaction, and gains trust due to the transparency in providing examination results. It also enables the Vehicles and Drivers Licensing Department to continuously improve the quality of tests processes.

Ras Al Khaimah Police is committed to implementing the strategy of the Ministry of Interior, which aligns with the UAE's strategy for artificial intelligence and the Fourth Industrial Revolution. By leveraging advanced technology, applications, and smart systems, the police aim to develop traffic and police work tasks and link them with a technical information system. This contributes to improving the heavy driving skills of customers, enhancing the operational efficiency of tests results, and using feedback to address grievances and complaints. The automation of smart testing for heavy vehicles ensures the practical examination of drivers is conducted with utmost accuracy and transparency, thus improving the performance of examiners and ensuring high standards in obtaining a driving license.
