A team consisting of the Rams Police Station, Police Aviation, and Ambulance and Rescue Section of Ras Al Khaimah Police, in cooperation with the Civil Defense Department, and with aid provided from some residents of the emirate, eight people of different nationalities and ages who were stranded in a rugged area in Wadi Shaha were rescued.
A report was received by the operation room about 8 people stuck in a rugged area in Wadi Shaha, the specialized teams directly headed to the location and trekkers were rescued and provided with necessary first aid. Then, they were transferred to a hospital to get the necessary medical care.
The Ras Al Khaimah Police called on the public to avoid going to the rugged areas in the mountainous areas and valleys, especially at daytime when the temperatures are high, in order to preserve their security and safety, and they must notify the concerned authorities before any recreational trip to allocate their destination in the event of any emergency.
