The Ras Al Khaimah Police Air Wing, in coordination with the Search and Rescue Section, successfully rescued two Asian tourists, a man and a woman, who became stranded and exhausted while climbing a mountain peak in the emirate at an altitude of 3,000 feet.

Acting promptly, an Air Wing helicopter was dispatched to the site. The tourists were located, provided with necessary assistance, and safely transported back down, both in good health. Ras Al Khaimah Police urged mountain climbers and hikers to exercise caution when exploring mountainous and valley terrains. They advised avoiding rugged areas or climbing to altitudes that could pose risks to personal safety and hinder rescue efforts. This successful mission highlights the importance of cooperation among relevant authorities to ensure rapid response and contribute to a safe and secure environment. It aligns with the Ministry of Interior’s strategy to safeguard lives and property while promoting a high quality of life within the community.
