Ras Al Khaimah Police, adhering to sustainable events standards and in collaboration with its partners, achieved an exceptional security and organizational milestone during the Emirate's distinctive New Year’s Eve 2025 celebrations. The event drew more than 47,894 vehicles as attendees flocked to enjoy festivities that illuminated the emirate's skies. This success was made possible by the comprehensive efforts of Ras Al Khaimah Police, who implemented an integrated security and organizational plan aligned with international standards, particularly the ISO Sustainable Events (ISO 20121), to enhance the safety and sustainability of major events.
The police developed a multi-faceted plan to ensure the celebrations’ smooth execution and sustainability. This included deploying 196 diverse security mechanisms, such as mobile patrols, civil defense vehicles, ambulances, rescue vehicles, drones, and electric scooters.
A total of 582 personnel from various sectors and entities worked as a cohesive team to execute the plan, which was overseen by Ras Al Khaimah Police in coordination with its partners. A comprehensive guide was prepared for the event to ensure attendees' safety, providing detailed instructions on entry and exit routes, designated entrances and exits to avoid congestion, parking facilities, spaces for individuals with special needs, crowd gathering zones, and general guidelines to facilitate smooth crowd management.
The team adopted ISO 20121 standards for sustainable events to strike a balance between security, organization, and sustainability. This approach reduced the environmental impact by employing eco-friendly mechanisms such as drones with long-lasting batteries and electric scooters. Smart technologies like thermal camera surveillance systems were utilized to minimize intensive human intervention, while efficient resource management optimized task distribution among security personnel and mechanisms. Community involvement was also emphasized through awareness campaigns and adherence to security instructions.
His Excellency Major General Ali bin Alwan Al Nuaimi, Commander-in-Chief of Ras Al Khaimah Police, lauded the work team’s exceptional efforts in securing the event. He noted that the application of ISO standards and the preparation of a comprehensive guide were instrumental in achieving this remarkable accomplishment. His Excellency also highlighted the leadership’s coordination with its partners in creating a dedicated website for event attendance registration, which attracted 1.92 million visitors.
His Excellency stated that the success of the New Year’s Eve 2025 celebrations would not have been possible without cooperation and teamwork. He reaffirmed Ras Al Khaimah Police's commitment to providing security and organizational services of international standards that align with the emirate’s future vision.
Lieutenant Colonel Dr. Yousef Abdullah Al Tunaiji, Head of the Permanent Team for Security and Organization of Events at the General Command, emphasized the police’s dedication to continuously improving its security and organizational plans by incorporating more sustainable technologies. He noted that the success of the New Year’s Eve 2025 celebrations serves as a model for managing major events, achieving a balance between security, efficiency, and environmental protection.
