The Ras Al Khaimah Police activated their surveillance cameras to detect lane violations. Brigadier Ahmad Al Sam Al Naqbi, Director of the Traffic and Patrols Department said that a AED400 fine is issued for changing lanes suddenly or without indicating.

His Excellency added that failing to observe the lane rule has been blamed for many dangerous accidents, particularly at traffic lights and junctions.

His Excellency urged motorists to drive their vehicles in designated lanes and refrain from lane changing at intersections, and stressed that all the road signs clearly indicate whether turning right or left is allowed.
