The United Arab Emirates celebrates this year's World Drug Day under the slogan "Drugs...a Painful Ending". The World Drug Day commemoration provides a chance to remind governments and cultures of the grave risks of drugs and the issues they represent to many civilizations. Drugs cause security, health, social, and economic harm to individuals and society at the same time, necessitating global cooperation to combat this blight that endangers our societies and threatens the security and stability of our countries. Given the multifarious threats posed by this scourge at many social, economic, and security levels, the UAE's efforts to battle the scourge of drug trafficking, promotion, and misuse have shown considerable effectiveness in restricting and preventing its expansion.
