Tripartite agreement for efficient vehicle impounding management in Ras Al Khaimah

Ras Al Khaimah Police, in alignment with the national strategies for 2023, has entered into a significant collaboration with the Public Resources Authority and the Emirates Parking Authority to oversee and operate the vehicle impounding facility in the emirate. This strategic partnership aims to implement the best policing initiatives and services in coordination with prominent governmental and local entities, with a shared commitment to achieving sustainable development across all facets of policing and governance.

The Ras Al Khaimah Police General Command, under the leadership of Major General Ali Abdullah bin Alwan Al Nuaimi, Commander-in-Chief of Ras Al Khaimah Police, signed a memorandum of understanding alongside the Public Resources Authority, represented by Mrs. Maysoon Mohammed Al-Dhahab, and Emirates Parking Services, represented by Mr. Abdullah Matar Al Mannai. This agreement will empower the management and operation of the Ras Al Khaimah vehicle impounding yard and ensure the provision of comprehensive services for the removal, transportation, and towing of abandoned and unauthorized vehicles within the emirate.

The primary objective of this memorandum of understanding is to uphold the principles of protecting financial interests and property rights, aligning with the Ministry of Interior's strategy. This initiative addresses the pressing issue of reducing the proliferation of illegal, abandoned, and unauthorized vehicles throughout Ras Al Khaimah, while preserving the emirate's dignified appearance. It is driven by a commitment to sustainability and enhancing the quality of life for residents, reflecting a modern and civilized image of the emirate.

Major General Ali bin Alwan emphasized that this collaboration is rooted in the shared goal of enhancing security and safety. It involves the implementation of preventive and proactive measures to combat the adverse effects of abandoned and unauthorized vehicles on roads and neighborhoods. The initiative will contribute to the overall improvement of security, safety, and the quality of life within the society, mitigating uncivilized practices and ensuring a more secure environment.
