Ras Al Khaimah Police have apprehended four drivers for racing their vehicles in a certain area of the emirate. The vehicles were impounded, and strict regulations and penalties were applied due to the seriousness of the violations and the threat they posed to the safety and lives of others. Lt. Col. Hassan Al Zaabi, Deputy Director of the Traffic and Patrols Department at Ras Al Khaimah Police, stated that a report had been received regarding several vehicles racing on a street in the area. The identities of the four vehicles involved were determined, and they were monitored using smart city systems and advanced technologies provided by the General Command of Ras Al Khaimah Police. These measures help enhance road safety, reduce traffic accidents, and ensure the capture of violators.

He added that the necessary legal measures would be taken against them, while their vehicles were impounded in accordance with the strict regulations in force in the emirate, due to the severity of this type of violation, which endangers the lives of others. The violation report included impounding the vehicles for 120 days, a release fee of AED 10,000 per vehicle, a fine of AED 2,000 for each driver, and 23 black points recorded in their traffic records. Lt. Col. Al Zaabi stressed the need for drivers and road users to fully adhere to traffic laws and avoid such high-risk violations, which not only endanger themselves but also the public. He confirmed that the law will hold accountable anyone who endangers the lives, safety, or property of others.

He urged all drivers and road users to respect traffic rules and regulations, which were established primarily for their safety and the safety of others, and to enhance road security.
