In line with the vision of the United Arab Emirates to achieve sustainability and leadership in police tourism, the General Command of Ras Al Khaimah Police, represented by the Tourist Police Section of the Criminal Investigation Department under the General Department of Police Operations, is committed to enhancing the reputation of Ras Al Khaimah as a trusted and preferred destination in terms of security and vibrancy. This is achieved through concerted efforts and the implementation of optimal security plans and programs to safeguard the safety of tourist facilities and visitors, while enhancing their tourism experience in the Emirate. Major Ghanem Al Suwaidi, Head of Tourist Police Section at Ras Al Khaimah Police, pointed out that the section provides high-quality security services for tourism in the Emirate around the clock, by offering tourists advice and awareness guidance and addressing any issues they may face. During the first half of 2025, the section handled a total of 74 observations and inquiries from tourists and 85 field cases related to tourism awareness and guidance. Tourist patrols were deployed at an average rate of 750 hours per month, in addition to participation in 14 tourism events during the first half of 2025. The section continues to exert maximum efforts in the field of tourism security, in anticipation of future needs and in line with sustainable development in Ras Al Khaimah, thereby elevating this sector and enhancing leadership and excellence. Major Ghanem Al Suwaidi added that, in support of enhancing tourism security performance, the Tourist Police Section at Ras Al Khaimah Police presents a comprehensive model, translated into practice through the provision of the finest high-quality policing solutions, services, and facilities for citizens, residents, and tourists, in coordination with the competent authorities. The section also receives tourists’ feedback and addresses it with professionalism, in line with the vision of the Ministry of Interior and the Government of Ras Al Khaimah, thereby contributing to ensuring security-related quality of life in the society.
