In 2017, the General Command of Ras Al Khaimah Police laid the groundwork for a modern and progressive approach to policing, aiming to enhance the overall quality of life in the community. They established the Tourist Police section to provide services to tourists and visitors both from within and outside the country. Additionally, they introduced tourist patrols that embody the police's institutional identity, providing tourism and security services to every tourist and visitor with the goal of ensuring their satisfaction and happiness during their stay in the emirate.
