Our goal is to manage projects, companies and investment institutions that have a supportive activity for security activities or what is by virtue of their actions, activities or accreditation, and to approve requests to issue and renew commercial licenses of companies and institutions practicing or wishing to establish investment projects specialized in the Authority’s field

The idea of establishing the Electronic Government Authority of Ras Al Khaimah was born in 2004 based on the aspirations of H.H.Sheikh Saud bin Saqr al - Qassimi, member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, to transform Ras Al Khaimah society to an online community in all its aspects, through the application of the latest technologies and integrated solutions and the use of comprehensive systems available for automating the work of all processes and systems of governmental IT and telecommunications departments(ICT), the creation of the necessary technical infrastructure, and moving towards leadership in e - government including its information technology, telecommunications, service, and geographical aspects.

Ras Al Khaimah Municipality was established in 1959 by an Emiri decree issued by His Highness Sheikh Saqr bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, may Allah have mercy on him, where the municipality since the first years of its inception has had to bear a great responsibility in accomplishing many of the tasks on behalf of different authorities in the emirate such as the Lands, ports and traffic departments, in addition to its work to ensure a clean environment free of contaminants and a decent life for members of the community that secure factors of health and safety, and in order to cope with the global developments and progress in the field of municipal work, the municipality in the mid-sixties had renewed the administrative structure of the department which includes a range of departments and divisions, in order to carry out the tasks entrusted to it. 

​​The Public Works and Services Department (PWSD) is one of the oldest local departments in Ras Al Khaimah, where the late Sheikh Saqr bin Mohammed Al Qasimi issued the decree of its establishment in 1965. However, the department appeared with its modern organization as an entity with several services in 1985 when the first law was issued to identify its specializations and grant it various authorities in the field of supervision on different facilities which provide infrastructure services, civic projects, and public services for citizens. This law was the march of developmental breakthrough in the Emirate, as it witnessed an architectural and cultural renaissance that significantly strengthened the infrastructure of the Emirate.
