The website moi.gov.ae provides several ways to get information about fines and violations, by signing in to your personal account or via your traffic profile or via your license number or by car plate registered in our database.

Current services provided by the Ministry of interior are offered for those who are registered only, as they are connected directly by their Emirates ID, this gives each user his own account, the Ministry will continue to develop its services to provide the best for the audience.

Traffic points accumulate and reach (24) in a period not exceeding one year.

Through this service, individuals, companies and commercial establishments can request the issuance of a clearance certificate for traffic infractions. 

•       In all Emirates except Umm Al Quwain: ID, Driving License, Vehicle Registration Card

•       In Umm Al Quwain: For individuals - Vehicle owner's identification documents, vehicle registration card, power of attorney or signature authorization if necessary (original copy)

•       In the case of corporate ownership: No objection letter from the company permitting the release of the vehicle for the representative, along with the vehicle owner's identification documents and vehicle registration card. 

This service, offered by the Ministry of the Interior, facilitates the arrangement of inmate visits for interactions with their family members, lawyers, or their respective embassies. To avail of this service, individuals have multiple options:

•       Website: Log in, select police services, and request a visit. After submitting the request form, the Department of Correctional and Punitive Establishments will contact the individual to confirm acceptance or rejection, and subsequently, the visit's date and location will be scheduled.

•       Smart application: Log in to the application, choose smart services, then police services. Select the visit request option and add a new request. Fill out the application form, and similarly, the Department of Correctional and Punitive Establishments will communicate the outcome of the request, followed by the visit's date and location.

•       Service centers:

For non-first-degree relatives, approval from the Public Prosecution is required.

Inmate's eligibility for visits is also necessary.

•       Vehicle insurance for a 13-month period.

•       Vehicle inspection is mandatory for vehicles exceeding three years from its year of manufacture.

•       Settlement of any outstanding traffic fines, if applicable. 

•       The computation of black points is based on the date when the violation payment is made and when the points are added to the license.

This service has been transformed into a smart service offered via the Smart App MOI and Ras Al Khaimah Police Website www.rakpolice.gov.ae

It is required to appear in person or apply via the Smart App “MOI” or the website, with bringing in the identity card or passport for visitors. The service is free of fees.

No services other than inquiries can be obtained via phone. Services are provided by personal appearance in the Customer Happiness Center or through the Smart App “MOI” and website.

No Police Clearance Certificate can be obtained in case of having any judicial disputes or circulation. Fees are nonrefundable. The service is only available on the website and Smart App “MOI”.

First, the customer has to sign up in the MOI app and then select smart services – police package, select Police Clearance Certificate, open a new request, fill in the required data and follow the steps To get the certificate.

Submitting the application through MOI (Open Traffic File service).

The person requesting traffic point reduction must attend in person at the Traffic and Patrols Department.

8 points can be reduced annually, and must be related to Ras Al Khaimah emirate.

The concerned person is registered for the course through the General Authority’s system for one day only.

After attending and passing the course, the certificate is received through the General Authority’s system, and the point reduction is processed. 

Official working hours: 7:30 AM to 10:00 PM.

Official holidays: 3:00 PM to 10:00 PM. 

Objections are submitted either in person at the Traffic and Patrols Department or through the MOI application.

The application is received and reviewed by examining the violation images.

If the violation cannot be reviewed by our department, an official request is sent to the Electronic Services and Telecommunications Department to verify the validity of the violation.

The objecting individual is informed directly or re-contacted regarding the validity of the violation. 

For individuals: The vehicle owner must personally bring the vehicle to the Traffic and Patrols Department (Smart Impound Service), presenting the Emirates ID, vehicle registration card, and driver’s license. All traffic fines on the vehicle must be paid, along with the smart Impound service fee.

For companies: An official letter from the company addressed “To Whom It May Concern” approving the Impound, including the name of the authorized person, must be submitted. The Emirates ID, company license, and driver’s license must be presented. The vehicle must be brought to the Traffic and Patrols Department for the Impound process. All fines related to the vehicle must be paid, along with the smart Impound service fee.
